The Pentair IntelliVibe Mezzo 602282 is the mid-size fixture in Pentair's IntelliVibe lighting system: a 3-inch diameter (5 inches with trim ring) RGBW LED light rated at 24 watts, supplied with a 100-foot cable. Pentair describes it as a powerful compact light for illuminating larger pool areas, and it is a nicheless design. A threaded adapter mounts it in a standard 1-1/2 inch return fitting, and an optional adapter (P/N 618040) lets it retrofit into an existing GloBrite niche.
Output is full RGBW: millions of colors, any shade of white from cool to warm, twelve color-changing light shows and dimming, all set from the Pentair Pool app. Pentair rates the Mezzo at 12 volts and 24 watts in its specification tables; the light is powered through the IntelliVibe system, in which a PS300 safety isolation transformer (P/N 619963) feeds 14 VAC to the IntelliVibe Controller (P/N 602260). Each controller output is limited to 100 W and the controller to 200 W total, which allows up to four Mezzo lights per output and eight per controller.
The Mezzo ships with white shallow and white deep trim rings; gray, tan, black and blue rings in shallow, deep and GloBrite-retrofit depths are available separately for fiberglass, vinyl and gunite pools. As with every IntelliVibe light, Pentair states that the IntelliVibe Controller and an IntelliCenter Automation System are required, and that the system is not backward compatible with GloBrite, MicroBrite or IntelliBrite lights or controllers. Controller, transformer, automation system, return fitting and junction box are sold separately. Pentair's install guide requires at least 4 inches of water above a vertically installed light, and the cable is three-conductor (black and white power, green communication).
Pentair warrants the IntelliVibe system for two years parts and labor with product registration, extended to three years when the lights are bundled with a Pentair pump and filter.
