The Pentair IntelliCenter 521906 i5PS is the five-function shared-equipment bundle for a pool and spa on one set of equipment, providing a dedicated filter pump circuit plus four auxiliary circuits together with automated intake and return valve changeover. It is the smallest of Pentair's salt-equipped Load Center bundles.

This is a legacy part number. Pentair's Transition Guide supersedes 521906 with 523964, and 521906 has dropped out of the current 2025–2026 catalogue. The change was driven by the salt cell moving from IntelliChlor IC40 to the newer IntelliChlor Plus40 (523735). The system ships in an IntelliCenter Load Center with a 150 A built-in circuit breaker subpanel and five pre-installed high-voltage relays. Both the salt chlorine generator transformer and a salt cell are included, along with two IntelliValve valve actuators for the intake and return diverters.

A note on the cell. Pentair's documentation is not fully consistent. The Pentair SKU page, the replacement-parts sheet and the Automation Transition document all describe 521906 as shipping the IntelliChlor IC40, while the Transition Guide's cell column reads “Yes, ICL Plus40” — a column that most plausibly describes the replacement part number rather than the legacy one. We list IC40 on the strength of the three SKU-specific sources and recommend confirming with your distributor before ordering. Control is through the IntelliCenter colour touchscreen and the Pentair Pool app, with the outdoor wireless antenna included, and the system expands over RS-485 to as many as 39 auxiliary circuits across three enclosures.
