The Pentair IntelliCenter 521905 i5P is the single-body salt bundle — a pool without a spa, or a spa on its own. The i5P personality controls one body of water with a dedicated filter pump circuit plus four auxiliary circuits, covering a variable-speed pump, heater, lighting and a cleaner or water feature, with the full IntelliCenter touchscreen and app experience.

This is a legacy part number. Pentair's Transition Guide supersedes 521905 with 523962; it no longer appears in the 2025–2026 catalogue. The system ships in an IntelliCenter Load Center with a 150 A built-in circuit breaker subpanel and five pre-installed high-voltage relays, and includes both the salt chlorine generator transformer and a salt cell. One point deserves emphasis: no valve actuators are included. Pentair's Transition Guide records this SKU as the one salt bundle in the range that ships without them, and that is correct for a single-body system — there is no intake and return diverter pair to drive.

A note on the cell. Pentair's replacement-parts sheet describes 521905 as shipping the IntelliChlor IC40, while the Transition Guide's cell column reads “Yes, ICL Plus40” — most plausibly describing the replacement part number rather than the legacy one. We list IC40 and recommend confirming with your distributor. Control is through the IntelliCenter colour touchscreen and the Pentair Pool app, with the outdoor wireless antenna included. Expansion runs over RS-485 across up to three enclosures for as many as 39 auxiliary circuits, and the personality itself can be upgraded with an expansion card.
