The Jandy JLU4C24W100 is a 24W, 12-volt RGBW color-changing nicheless LED light from Jandy's WaterColors nicheless line with HydroCool technology, supplied with a 100-foot cord. Nicheless means it threads into a standard 1-1/2 inch plastic wall or return fitting (not included) with the included installation tool – no light niche, and because the light is 100 percent non-metallic no bonding is required. Jandy's manual calls for a minimum 10 in of 1-1/2 inch pipe through the wall for the 24W light, and the fixture is only 5-1/2 in long. It suits pools, spas and water features where a compact light with meaningful output is wanted.

It is the standard WaterColors version: fourteen modes selected by power-cycling the switch or relay – nine fixed colors (Alpine White, Sky Blue, Cobalt Blue, Caribbean Blue, Spring Green, Emerald Green, Emerald Rose, Magenta, Violet) and five shows (Slow Color Splash, Fast Color Splash, America the Beautiful, Fat Tuesday, Disco Tech) – with memory that returns to the last mode after a power interruption. Jandy color lights are not dimmable. HydroCool uses the surrounding water to keep the LED running cooler for longer life, and Jandy states the lights use up to 87 percent less energy than incandescent pool lights.

Power is 12 VAC from a separate NRTL-listed Class 2 magnetic pool transformer (12–14 VAC), not included; Jandy's manual gives operating voltage ranges at the light by cord length and cautions not to exceed the transformer's load rating. Any Jandy AquaLink auxiliary relay can switch the transformer to control the light. The carton includes white and gray cosmetic trim rings; Jandy's quarter-moon and half-moon lens covers, which redirect light away from the eyes on steps, are available as lens cover kits in white, gray and black. Jandy's warranty document covers nicheless underwater lights for three years.
