The round design draws air across the full 360 degrees of the coil rather than one face, which allows tighter clearances - just 6 inches at the sides and rear, against 12 inches for the square-platform models. On a crowded equipment pad that difference decides whether a unit fits at all.
A titanium heat exchanger handles salt water and aggressive pool chemistry without corrosion, and a multi-speed ECM fan motor reduces sound and power draw at partial load. Low ambient operation extends heating down to 40 F, and it works on both above-ground and in-ground pools.
