The Pentair IntelliVibe 602260 is a lighting controller, not a pool automation system — it is worth being clear about that up front, because it is often listed alongside automation panels. It is the wiring hub for Pentair's IntelliVibe LED pool and spa lights, driving up to four independently controllable zones with millions of colours, twelve colour-changing light shows, dimming and cool-to-warm white shade selection.

The controller is rated for a maximum of 200 W total, with each of the four outputs rated to a maximum of 100 W. It carries a single on/off button for local control; everything else — colours, dimming, schedules, zone configuration — is handled through the Pentair Pool app. Three things are required alongside it and none are in the box: a PS300 Light Transformer (P/N 619963) to supply low-voltage power, an IntelliCenter Pool Control System, and junction boxes to join the lights within each zone. Pentair also notes that mounting hardware — screws, anchors and fixings — is not provided with the controller or the transformer. The IntelliVibe lights themselves (Nano, Micro and Mezzo ranges) are separate purchases.

Pentair discourages mixing IntelliVibe and legacy lights on the same pool. Where more than 200 W of lighting is needed, multiple controllers and multiple IntelliVibe systems can be installed and run concurrently — they appear as separate tiles in the Pentair Pool app and are controlled independently. The controller is compatible with the IntelliCenter Upgrade Kit and IntelliCenter Lite on current firmware.
