The Pentair IntelliCenter Lite 523911 pairs the i5P single-body personality with a Power Center enclosure, and it exists for a specific job: retrofits. Where a pool already has a working electrical subpanel at the equipment pad, paying for a second breaker base inside the automation enclosure is wasted money and wasted wall space. The Lite Power Center leaves it out. What you get is the same five-relay control — filter pump plus four auxiliary circuits — and the same colour touchscreen and app experience as the full IntelliCenter, in a smaller box.

The distinction to understand before ordering is the enclosure. Pentair is explicit that IntelliCenter Lite bundles ship a power center rather than a load center with a 125 A breaker bus, which means there is no breaker panel and no space for one. An external breaker subpanel must already exist or be installed separately at the pad. The second thing to know is chemistry: Pentair states plainly that IntelliCenter Lite bundles do not include water chemistry solutions — there is no salt cell and no salt transformer in this box. IntelliChlor is compatible and can be ordered separately. As a pool-only system it also ships with no valve actuators, which is correct for a single body of water.

Control is through the IntelliCenter touchscreen panel and remotely via the Pentair Pool app, giving scheduling, equipment status and remote temperature control. Pentair describes IntelliCenter Lite as an expandable system with the same functionality as a full IntelliCenter, using the same RS-485 architecture. Note that Pentair's own documentation is inconsistent about whether wireless hardware ships in the box — the IntelliCenter Lite product page describes a Wi-Fi bridge as included while the dealer sell sheet lists wireless as sold separately, referencing accessory 523557. Remote access can alternatively be achieved with a hard-wired Cat-5 Ethernet connection into the main board. We recommend confirming the wireless component at time of order.
