The Hayward H500FDNASME Universal H-Series ASME Low NOx Natural Gas Pool & Spa Heater delivers 500,000 BTU - the largest output Hayward builds in this platform, and the standard specification for commercial pools and any installation where code requires an ASME-certified vessel.
ASME certification is the practical difference. The unit ships with an ASME pressure relief valve as standard and is rated to 125 PSI. It pairs a patented Cupro-Nickel Finn Plate heat exchanger with a low-lead bronze header using Hayward's patented bypass design - the combination specified for commercial duty cycles and aggressive water chemistry.
At 40 to 125 GPM the heater produces roughly a 21.9 F delta-T at minimum required flow. The 24-inch cabinet height is the lowest in the industry for this output, and a forced-draft combustion system removes the need for a high-wind stack.
